NVIDIA's latest DLSS update batch puts a decade-old open-world game and a 2026 James Bond adaptation on the same upgrade schedule, and that's the real story here. DLSS has stopped being a launch-day feature reserved for new releases. NVIDIA is now working backward through its partner catalog and retrofitting whatever's still being played.

The headline update is 007 First Light, which just added Path Tracing and DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction on top of its existing Super Resolution and Dynamic Multi Frame Generation support. The addition sharpens lighting, shadows, and reflections in the cinematic spy adventure, with Ray Reconstruction cleaning up the added detail so it doesn't introduce noise.

The Real News Is in the Rest of the List

No Man's Sky is the one worth pausing on. Hello Games' game just turned 10 years old, and its Cosmos Update upgrades it to DLSS 4.5 with up to 6X Multi Frame Generation, on a title that predates DLSS entirely. That's NVIDIA treating a decade-old back-catalog game as worth the same engineering attention as anything shipping this quarter.

Taken together, they're evidence that DLSS support has become routine enough that NVIDIA can push it across a launch-day shooter, an early access survival game, and a 10-year-old exploration title in the same week without any of them feeling like the odd one out.
