RTX Spark laptops don't ship until October 16, but NVIDIA has already started the launch. Starting October 13 and running through the week, the company and its partners are pushing out a stack of software for RTX PCs: new local AI models, agent tools, creator features and gaming updates.

The most telling item is a model, not a driver. NVIDIA's new Nemotron 3.5 Bolt 74B A9B is a 74-billion-parameter mixture-of-experts model with 9 billion active parameters, and NVIDIA says it fits inside a 24GB memory footprint. It's tuned for always-on personal agents doing things like coding, research, monitoring and tool use, and it's "optimised especially for RTX Spark."

That's the pitch for RTX Spark in one spec. A big model that runs locally on a laptop is the kind of thing NVIDIA needs to show to justify a new class of machine built around a Blackwell RTX GPU and a Grace CPU.

Two Nemotron 3.5 Bolt models, two dates

The 74B A9B model arrives October 15 with support for llama.cpp, Ollama, vLLM and LM Studio. A smaller sibling, Nemotron 3.5 Bolt E4B, follows on October 23. That one targets quick conversational agents and interactive game characters, and NVIDIA is pointing people to SkyrimNET, an AI NPC modding platform for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, as a way to try it.

Local AI tools that skip the command line

Several of the day-one releases are about making local AI less fiddly:

  • Hugging Face Llama Windows is a free, open-source Windows app for finding, downloading and running open models with llama.cpp, no command line needed. It's optimised for RTX Spark.
  • NVIDIA PAIR is out of beta. The free, open-source tool shares AI compute across compatible PCs on a local network, and the new release adds RTX Spark and llama.cpp support so you can offload work to another machine while keeping inference local.
  • Agent hooks now connect to NVIDIA apps including Broadcast, the NVIDIA app, RTX Remix and Omniverse through new integrations, MCP servers and skills. Hermes, OpenClaw and Perplexity also got updates.

Broadcast 2.3 gets offline processing and agent control

NVIDIA Broadcast 2.3 is available now. It adds offline file processing for prerecorded content, beta RTX Video Super Resolution and Frame Generation, new Studio Voice profiles and MCP support so compatible AI agents can control Broadcast features.

On the third-party side, Adobe is optimising Photoshop, Premiere and Substance 3D for RTX Spark and claims up to 2X faster performance across AI, editing, colour and effects work in supported apps, with more features arriving over the coming weeks. ComfyUI has new RTX Video Frame Generation and HDR nodes available now. Blender 5.3 gets DLSS Ray Reconstruction in the viewport in November.

DLSS 5 gets faster before most games even have it

A faster DLSS 5 model with 3D-Guided Neural Rendering arrives October 16 alongside NBA 2K27 Season 2. NVIDIA says it boosts frame rates by up to 1.4X on GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs, RTX Spark laptops and GeForce NOW, and that DLSS 5 is now 10X faster overall than the model it introduced in March.

The game list is still short, though. Hogwarts Legacy adds DLSS 5 on November 5 and Where Winds Meet gets it in late November. RTX Remix picks up DLSS 5 support for modders on October 23, along with AI texture generation workflows tied to ComfyUI.

Preset C is the update most current RTX owners can use today

If you're not buying an RTX Spark laptop, the useful bit is a new NVIDIA app beta. It adds Preset C, a faster performance mode for DLSS Frame Generation, Multi Frame Generation and Dynamic Multi Frame Generation that uses a lighter AI model to push frame rates higher. It works on GeForce RTX 40 Series, RTX 50 Series and RTX Spark laptops and can apply to hundreds of games and apps.

New DLSS titles this week include Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, whose campaign early access starts October 16 with DLSS 4.5. Among The Trolls launches October 14 with DLSS and ray tracing, Crossout Remastered's DLSS 4.5 update lands October 22 and Gear.Club Unlimited 3, Permafrost, Pax Autocratica and ARC Raiders' Frozen Trail update are out now with DLSS support.

What RTX Spark brings to games on day one

NVIDIA says RTX Spark laptops will run hundreds of top games at launch, naming CONTROL Resonant, Cyberpunk 2077, Fortnite, Gears of War: E-Day, Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail, Marvel Rivals, NARAKA: BLADEPOINT and World of Warcraft among them. The machines support DLSS 5, ray tracing, Reflex, G-SYNC and major multiplayer anti-cheat systems.

Philippine pricing and local availability for RTX Spark laptops weren't part of this announcement. Until those land, the software is the part of launch week anyone with a recent RTX card can actually try.
