LG usually spends its press releases explaining why its TVs beat everyone else's. This time, it is also explaining why two of its own flagship lines don't compete with each other at all.

LG Philippines introduced the LG OLED evo G6 AI and the LG Micro RGB evo AI together, calling them "two distinct paths to the premium home cinema." That framing matters more than it sounds like it should. LG isn't ranking these sets against each other. It's asking buyers to pick a philosophy: pixel-level accuracy or room-filling scale.

The Precision Pick

The OLED evo G6 AI leans on LG's self-lit OLED panel, where every pixel switches off independently to produce true black and sharper contrast. LG frames this as "Hollywood-level picture accuracy," built around detailed shadow reproduction rather than raw brightness or size. It's the set for viewers who care about how a dark scene actually looks, not how big the screen is.

The Scale Pick

The Micro RGB evo AI takes the opposite bet. It's an LCD-based line built for screens up to 100 inches, aimed at buyers who want a large-screen setup rather than a reference-grade picture. LG says its α11 AI Processor works to minimize color bleeding and sharpen color accuracy, which matters more on Micro RGB panels since backlit LCDs have historically struggled with exactly that at large sizes. Whether the processor closes that gap in practice is a claim from LG, not an independent test, at least for now.

Both sets share the same premium toolkit: Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos and Filmmaker Ambient Mode, a feature that adjusts the picture to match a room's lighting so films display closer to how their creators intended. Both also carry LG's AI layer of personalized content recommendations, voice navigation and upgraded audio performance. That overlap is the point. LG isn't using shared features to blur the line between the two TVs. It's using them to make sure the only real difference between the sets is the one it wants buyers debating: precision versus size.

That's a notable shift from how flagship TV lineups usually work, where a single "best" model sits at the top and everything else is a step down. LG is explicitly avoiding that hierarchy here, betting that some buyers will never want an OLED no matter the price and others will never trade panel accuracy for inches.

LG Philippines didn't disclose pricing or local availability dates for either model in this announcement. Buyers weighing the OLED evo G6 AI against the Micro RGB evo AI will have to wait for that detail before the choice gets real.
