On October 18, Diablo IV rolled out its latest season, "Season of Blood," featuring a new questline, Vampiric Powers, and five new endgame bosses. Alongside the seasonal update, Patch 1.2.0 enhanced the gaming experience with quality-of-life improvements.
Diablo IV also made its debut on Steam, adding to its availability on Battle.net, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4. The Steam version supports cross-play and cross-save across all platforms.
Seasonal Highlights
The season centers around Vampire Hunter Erys (voiced by Gemma Chan). Players collect "Potent Blood" to unlock Vampiric Powers and battle new monsters led by vampire Lord Zir, including Blood Seekers that mimic player characters and wield tainted class skills.
Quality-of-Life Updates
Patch 1.2.0 lets newcomers bypass the campaign and dive directly into seasonal content after the prologue. Renown rewards now carry over between seasons, and XP gain is 40% faster — enabling players to reach Level 100 more quickly. Gems have been converted to a crafting material, reducing unnecessary inventory trips.
