LG Electronics won Best Brand of IFA 2026, the top overall honor at the IFA Innovation Awards, for the second year running since the category was introduced in 2025. The company also picked up category wins for its Wallpaper TV and its modular sound system, plus several honoree distinctions across TVs, audio and a portable screen. Samsung, its closest rival at the show, walked away with four category prizes and no overall brand win.

Two products carried the bulk of the recognition. The LG OLED evo AI W6, the latest True Wireless Wallpaper TV, took Best in Home & Entertainment for its 9mm-thin panel and wireless picture and sound transmission, technology LG has been refining since it first showed a wireless OLED concept years ago. LG Sound Suite AI took Best in Audio as the first home audio ecosystem built on Dolby Atmos FlexConnect, a Dolby standard for wireless multi-speaker surround setups that does not require running cable to every corner of a room. Additional honoree nods went to LG's OLED evo, Micro RGB evo, Mini RGB evo, StanbyME 2 Max portable screen, and the xboom Stage 501 party speaker.

None of these products are new to ggwptech readers. The xboom Stage 501 has been sitting in PH coverage since June, and the W6 Wallpaper TV and LG's broader 2026 AI TV lineup were part of LG's IFA press push earlier this month. What the Best Brand award actually adds is a third-party framing: an industry jury looking at LG's entire 2026 slate side by side with Samsung's and deciding LG's combination of design, technology and market execution was stronger, not just louder marketing about it.

That distinction matters more for LG's brand positioning globally than for what Filipino buyers can actually purchase right now. IFA is a European trade show, and several of the newly honored products, including the W6 and the Sound Suite AI, do not yet have confirmed Philippine pricing or release windows. The award recognizes engineering and design work that is real, but a trophy from Berlin does not shorten the gap between an IFA showcase and a retail shelf in Manila.

LG's IFA 2026 presence ran through the first week of September, and the company has continued rolling out individual product deep dives on its global newsroom in the days since the awards were announced.
