LE SSERAFIM closes the show on the Main Stage September 13, and YOASOBI performs what Blizzard is calling the convention's first-ever halftime show, staged inside the Overwatch World Cup Arena that same day.
That's a notable shift in what actually draws a crowd to BlizzCon now. The event still has its usual mix of hands-on demos, developer panels, and esports finals, but the two acts getting top billing this year are K-pop and J-pop crossover artists, not Blizzard's own creative leads. LE SSERAFIM's booking isn't new, Blizzard confirmed it back in June, but pairing it with YOASOBI's arena halftime slot makes the music program a co-headliner with the games themselves rather than a side attraction.
The celebrity roster leans into player culture, not just performance
The rest of the lineup is built around people who already play, not just people who perform. T-Pain joins the Overwatch World Cup festivities as a longtime Blizzard supporter and streamer. Simu Liu isn't just making an appearance, he's competing as a player in the Blizzard Classic Cup StarCraft II Entertainment Match, in addition to working the casting desk. Twitch creator Duke Dennis joins World of Warcraft community activations, while deadmau5 sits in on a Diablo-focused developer panel, an odd but fitting pairing given the DJ's own history as a PC gaming enthusiast.
BlizzCon 2026 runs September 12-13 at the Anaheim Convention Center. Passes are officially sold out, though Blizzard says resale may become available through the Tixr public market. For a show that used to sell itself on game reveals alone, this year's pitch leans just as hard on who's going to be standing on stage.
