Overwatch Rush, Blizzard's top-down spinoff, soft launches August 31 starting in Indonesia, then Malaysia and the Philippines. The build adds a new Hero Level progression system, a reworked Brigitte and Lúcio, three new maps, and two new modes ahead of a wider global release.

Blizzard's BlizzCon 2026 Digital Bundles are live on the Battle.net Shop nearly two months before the September 12-13 show in Anaheim, letting players buy items from World of Warcraft, Overwatch, Diablo IV, Diablo Immortal and Hearthstone without attending. The Overwatch bundle gives Mei a Warcraft-themed Lich Queen skin, while the five standalone bundles cost more together than the discounted Ultimate Collection, free with a BlizzCon Pass.

Hearthstone's Escape from Violet Hold expansion is live with 135 new collectible cards and a jailbreak theme. New mechanics include Rulebreaker Legendaries that break core game rules, the Prepare keyword for setting up future big plays, Disguised Minions you can deploy on the opponent's board and Bribe cards that reward both players.

Blizzard has revealed the BlizzCon 2026 Classic Cup Legacy Matches, bringing BoxeR, Nal_rA, IdrA, MC, Dignitas and Gen.G back to the competitive stage. The event runs September 12-13 in Anaheim.
