ASUS Philippines is leaning hard on "battle-tested" and "military-grade" language for its new TUF Gaming T700 desktop lineup, but the more useful thing for buyers to know is that the T700 and T700 Mini are not the same machine at different sizes. They share a name and a chassis language, and that's about it.

The standard T700 (TM700TZ) runs an AMD Ryzen 7 8700F paired with up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Ti, backed by a 240mm liquid cooler and quad 65 CFM fans in a 47-liter case with a transparent side panel. The T700 Mini (T700MF) runs an Intel Core Ultra 5 225F with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050, cooled by a smaller thermal matrix with copper heat pipes and a single 90mm fan. That's a full generation and a half of GPU gap between the two, not a simple full-size-versus-compact tradeoff.

The Price That's Actually Advertised

ASUS's release states the T700 lineup "starts at PHP 139,995," which reads like it applies to the flagship RTX 5060 Ti configuration described earlier in the same release. It doesn't. The spec sheet shows that price belongs to a separate SKU running a plain RTX 5060 instead, while the RTX 5060 Ti version costs 149,995. Worth checking the exact model number before buying if the 5060 Ti is what convinced you to look at this desktop in the first place.

The T700 Mini has no listed price yet. ASUS says it's "available in the coming months," so anyone drawn to the compact form factor is buying on marketing copy alone for now.

What the Military Testing Actually Covers

Both machines are MIL-STD-810H tested, a standard built around shock, vibration and environmental stress that matters a lot for a laptop that gets carried around and a lot less for a tower or mini PC that's going to sit on a desk for years. It's not a meaningless claim, since ASUS is also promising an ASUS No. 1-tier motherboard and the same warranty backing (3-year local warranty, on-site service, six free cleanings, a 14-day replacement window) that covers its other PCs. But it's a durability spec better suited to selling ruggedness than to describing daily desktop use.

Both models go through official ASUS and ROG stores and authorized retailers nationwide, with the promo window for ASUS's back-to-school pricing running through September 15.
