Lenovo's Tab Plus Gen 2 lands in the Philippines on October 28 at an SRP of PHP 25,995, four months after Lenovo first showed it off globally in June. The pitch hasn't changed in that time: this is a tablet built around its speakers first and its screen second, with a kickstand that does more of the work than most tablet cases do.
Lenovo PH's announcement doesn't say which memory configuration the PHP 25,995 price buys. Globally, Lenovo listed four (6GB + 128GB, 8GB + 128GB, 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB) with an expected starting price of US$399.99, so it's worth checking which version a local shelf is actually selling before comparing it with an overseas listing.
Nine speakers and a bump to hold them
The headline feature is a JBL 9-unit Pro speaker system tuned with Dolby Atmos, which Lenovo describes as a cinematic setup with dedicated bass units. That hardware has a physical cost. The tablet itself measures 6.8mm thick, but the speaker bump on the back takes it to 22.7mm, and the whole thing weighs about 775g.
Lenovo leans into that by letting the tablet double as a Bluetooth speaker for your phone, so it can play music or podcasts with the screen out of the picture. Dolby Audio processing adds Dynamic, Movie and Music sound modes on top.
A kickstand that rotates the full 360 degrees
The other big hardware change is a built-in 360-degree rotating kickstand that works in both portrait and landscape. Lenovo names four ways to use it: lean, theater, stand and hanging. When the tablet is idle, a standby mode turns it into a digital picture frame. Lenovo also made a carrying sleeve with a shoulder strap specifically for this model.
The display grows to 12.1 inches, a 2.5K (2560 x 1600) LCD panel running at 120Hz with Dolby Vision and HDR10 support. Lenovo rates it at up to 800 nits in High Brightness Mode.

The AI translation has a daily cap
Lenovo AI Live Transcript is one of the features doing the heavy lifting in the local announcement. It transcribes and translates what's playing in real time across more than 40 languages. The fine print in Lenovo's global release matters here: free use is limited to two hours per day, and anything beyond that goes through in-app purchases. For someone planning to watch untranslated shows for an evening, that limit will come up quickly.
Lenovo Smarter Reader and AI Notes with Lenovo Notepad round out the software features.
The Lenovo Tab Plus Gen 2 goes on sale in the Philippines starting October 28 at PHP 25,995.
