Subnautica 2 sold millions of copies in Early Access before it even had the DLSS version NVIDIA is now highlighting, which says more about the game's pull than any spec update could. Unknown Worlds has now updated the underwater survival sequel to native DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution, meaning every GeForce RTX player gets the upgrade automatically instead of digging through NVIDIA app overrides like early buyers had to.
It's the standout entry in a batch of four DLSS-supported titles NVIDIA is spotlighting around Steam Next Fest 2026, alongside a beta, a demo and an Early Access launch.
Mortal Shell II Open Beta
Cold Symmetry and Playstack's Souls-like sequel expands into unrestricted open-world exploration, deeper weapon customization and adrenaline-focused combat. The Open Beta, live now, covers the Prologue and first explorable region, with DLSS Super Resolution, Multi Frame Generation, ray-traced reflections and global illumination available to RTX players. The full game ships later this year.
The Sinking City 2 Demo
Frogwares has put out a one-hour playable demo ahead of the August 18 launch, dropping occult investigator Calvin Rafferty into a flood-ravaged, Lovecraftian version of Arkham. The demo runs DLSS Super Resolution and Multi Frame Generation for players who want both the extra performance and the image quality.
Empulse Enters Early Access
1047 Games launched Empulse into Early Access on June 24, a fast 6v6 movement shooter built on wall-running, grapple hooks, Holojumps and surface-altering P.A.I.N.T. bombs. RTX players get Dynamic Multi Frame Generation, Super Resolution and NVIDIA Reflex, a combination that matters more here than in most shooters given how much the game leans on split-second movement calls.
What the Subnautica 2 upgrade actually signals
A game hitting Early Access with millions of sales and no native DLSS 4.5 support, then adding it mid-cycle instead of waiting for a full launch, is a sign of how routine the technology has become in PC development. With Mortal Shell II and The Sinking City 2 both still ahead of their full releases, expect more of the same pattern through the rest of 2026.
