LG built its Fit & Max lineup around a Filipino condo living room, then decided the right place to show it off was IFA 2026 in Berlin. The line started with refrigerators and is now expanding to washing machines, dryers, and dishwashers, all under the same "Fit Space, Max Life" pitch: appliances that squeeze into small footprints without giving up capacity.

The idea is straightforward enough. Fit & Max refrigerators are built to sit flush against a wall or cabinetry instead of needing clearance space, while still offering up to three adjustable temperature zones through what LG calls its Dual FRESHConverter+ and Full Convert Drawer features. For a market where condo units keep shrinking, that's a real design constraint LG is solving for rather than just marketing around.

The AI branding is doing a lot of the talking

Every appliance in the lineup carries an AI-prefixed feature name: AI Fresh, AI Wash, AI Dry, AI SenseClean. Strip the branding back and what's actually being sold is usage-pattern learning, the machines adjusting cycles and settings based on how a household actually uses them rather than running fixed presets. That's a legitimate efficiency play, but it's also the same AI-appliance framing every major manufacturer has adopted over the past two years, so the differentiation has to come from execution rather than the label.

Where LG has real proof points: the refrigerator's space-conscious design already picked up recognition at the 2026 iF Design Award and Red Dot Award, both juried on functional design rather than marketing copy.

LG will showcase the expanded lineup at IFA 2026 in Berlin, running September 4 to 8, positioning a distinctly local design problem, cramped Philippine condo kitchens, on one of the industry's biggest global stages. Local pricing and availability for the expanded Fit & Max range haven't been announced yet.
