The company already talked up FIFA AI Pro, the scouting and analysis tool it built for all 48 participating teams, back when the tournament was underway. This wrap-up is about the layer under that: the Technology Command Center that kept operations, officiating data and broadcast feeds running across every host city at once, and Referee View, an AI-powered broadcast tool that gave viewers officiating angles that used to exist only for the referees themselves.

Officiating goes from private to public

Referee View is the more interesting piece here because it changes who gets to see the data, not just how fast it moves. VAR reviews and offside calls have generated frustration for years partly because fans only see the outcome, not the process. Turning that into a broadcast graphic instead of a private replay room decision is a small shift with a real effect on how contested calls get received by the people watching at home.

None of this is verifiable from outside Lenovo's own numbers. A 99.99% uptime figure is Lenovo's claim about Lenovo's systems, not an independently audited stat, and "biggest ever" tournament framing is doing some of the promotional lifting here too.
