Lenovo launches new ThinkPad products powered by AMD RYZEN PRO 6000 processors

Lenovo Philippines has announced the launch of four new ThinkPad products that are powered by AMD RYZEN PRO 6000 processors. These products are designed for business and enterprise markets that require high performance, security and reliability.

The new ThinkPad products are:

  • ThinkBook 15 Gen4: A thin and light laptop with a 15.6-inch FHD display, up to AMD Ryzen™ 5000 series processor, up to 16GB DDR4 memory, up to 512GB SSD storage, and optional Wi-Fi 6E connectivity.
  • ThinkPad P16S Gen1: A mobile workstation with a 16-inch WQXGA display, up to AMD Ryzen™ 7 PRO processor with Radeon™ RX Vega graphics, up to 32GB DDR5 memory, up to 1TB SSD storage.
  • ThinkPad Z13 Gen1: A premium laptop with a 13.3-inch WUXGA display, up to AMD Ryzen™ 7 PRO 6860Z processor with Radeon™ 680M graphics, up to 32GB DDR5 memory, up to 1TB SSD storage, and optional Wi-Fi 6E connectivity.
  • ThinkPad Z16 Gen1: A flagship laptop with a 16-inch WQXGA+ display, up to AMD Ryzen™ 7 PRO 6950H processor with Radeon™ RX 6500M graphics, up to 64GB DDR5 memory, up to 2TB SSD storage.

According to Lenovo Philippines, these products will be available soon in the local market.

What differentiates AMD RYZEN PRO processors from non-pro versions?

AMD RYZEN PRO processors are designed for professional users who need enhanced performance, security and manageability features. According to AMD’s website, some of the benefits of AMD RYZEN PRO processors are:

  • Up to eight cores and sixteen threads for multitasking and heavy workloads
  • Up to twice the battery life compared to previous generation
  • Built-in security features such as AMD Memory Guard encryption and AMD Secure Processor
  • Support for Microsoft Endpoint Manager and other enterprise management tools
  • Three-year warranty and extended availability

With these features, AMD RYZEN PRO processors aim to deliver superior productivity and efficiency for business users.
