ASUS still hasn't disclosed a single spec for the Philippine version of the ExpertBook Ultra, and that's almost beside the point. The real story is who's showing up to announce it: ASUS Co-CEO Samson Hu is coming to Manila on July 1, the first time he's attended a Philippine launch event in person.
That's not a detail ASUS buried in the invite. Executive attendance at a regional product launch is a deliberate signal, and it usually means the market matters more to the parent company than the size of a single laptop line would suggest on its own.
What we actually know about the laptop
ASUS is calling the ExpertBook Ultra "the Flagship of the Industry. Period," which tells you more about ambition than specs. The global ExpertBook Ultra line launched earlier this year on Intel Core Ultra processors in an ultra-thin chassis built around business use cases: portability, battery life, connectivity and enterprise security. Expect the Philippine variant to track those global specs closely, with local pricing confirmed at the event itself rather than beforehand.
The event ASUS is throwing around it
The July 1 launch runs from the Grand Ballroom at Okada Manila with a Business Travel dress code, global leadership remarks, new brand ambassadors, and over ₱1.5 million in prizes spread across 132 winners. That's a lot of production for a laptop whose specs still haven't been announced, which reinforces the read that ASUS is treating this less as a product drop and more as a statement about its commitment to the Philippine market.
