AMD has launched its third-generation Ryzen AI PRO 300 Series processors, designed to transform business productivity with cutting-edge artificial intelligence (AI) features and multi-day battery life. These new processors aim to power the next generation of commercial PCs, delivering a significant leap in AI compute capabilities and performance, ideal for enterprise-level applications.

A Boost for AI-Driven Business Workflows

The Ryzen AI PRO 300 Series processors introduce powerful AI-driven features for commercial PCs, such as live captioning, language translation for conference calls, and advanced AI-powered image generation. Designed with the modern workplace in mind, these processors offer up to three times the AI performance of their predecessors. This makes them ideal for handling demanding business workloads, including large datasets and complex computations, all while maintaining high energy efficiency.

“We are excited to add the Ryzen AI PRO 300 Series, the most powerful AI processor built for business PCs, to our portfolio of mobile processors,” said Jack Huynh, senior vice president and general manager of AMD’s Computing and Graphics Group. Huynh emphasized that the new processors offer unprecedented AI processing power, incredible battery life, and seamless compatibility with key business applications.

Zen 5 Architecture: Performance Meets Efficiency

The Ryzen AI PRO 300 Series is built on AMD’s new “Zen 5” architecture, pushing CPU performance to new heights for business users. The flagship model, Ryzen AI 9 HX PRO 375, offers up to 40% higher performance and up to 14% faster productivity than its competitor, Intel’s Core Ultra 7 165U. These processors are equipped with AMD’s XDNA 2 architecture, enabling up to 55 trillion operations per second (TOPS) of AI processing power, more than enough to meet the AI demands of Microsoft’s Copilot+ AI PC requirements.

Built on a 4nm process, the new Ryzen AI PRO chips promise extended battery life, which is crucial for professionals on the go who require sustained performance without being tethered to a power source. This combination of top-tier AI processing and energy efficiency positions AMD’s latest chips as a formidable solution in the commercial PC space.

Empowering Businesses with AI Compute and Security

The Ryzen AI PRO 300 Series processors aren’t just about speed; they’re also designed to make IT operations smoother and more secure. AMD PRO Technologies enhance security with features like Cloud Bare Metal Recovery, Supply Chain Security, and Watch Dog Timer, ensuring robust protection across business networks. With the addition of AI-based malware detection, the integrated neural processing unit (NPU) can handle security workloads without compromising performance, adding an extra layer of protection for enterprise users.

Strong Industry Partnerships

Several leading manufacturers, including HP, Lenovo, and Microsoft, are already integrating AMD’s new processors into their upcoming commercial PCs. HP’s EliteBook X Next-Gen AI PC, powered by the Ryzen AI PRO 300 Series, is set to offer unparalleled power and performance for business leaders, according to Alex Cho, president of HP’s Personal Systems division.

Lenovo is also incorporating AMD’s processors into its ThinkPad T14s Gen 6, offering a balance of high AI compute power, enhanced security, and long battery life. “Together with AMD, we are transforming the business landscape by delivering smarter, AI-driven solutions that empower users to achieve more,” said Luca Rossi, president of Lenovo’s Intelligent Devices Group.

Microsoft is equally enthusiastic about the collaboration, with Pavan Davuluri, corporate vice president of Windows Devices, highlighting the role of AMD’s new processors in enhancing AI-powered experiences on Windows 11. “The Ryzen AI PRO’s performance, combined with the latest features in Windows 11, enhances productivity, efficiency, and security,” he noted, emphasizing the integration of features like Windows Hello Enhanced Sign-in Security.

A Future-Ready Commercial PC Portfolio

AMD plans to continue expanding its commercial portfolio, with over 100 Ryzen AI PRO-powered PCs expected to hit the market by 2025. As AI becomes more integral to enterprise operations, businesses need robust computing solutions to stay ahead of the curve. With their unprecedented AI processing capabilities and energy efficiency, AMD’s Ryzen AI PRO 300 Series processors are poised to lead this transformation, offering businesses the tools they need to enhance productivity, security, and performance.

As commercial OEMs like HP and Lenovo roll out these next-gen AI PCs, AMD is positioned to set new standards for business computing in the AI era. The introduction of the Ryzen AI PRO 300 Series marks a significant milestone in the evolution of commercial processors, ensuring that businesses have the computing power required to tackle the challenges of today—and tomorrow.
