The fifth Overwatch World Cup is coming, crowning the first champion since 2019. 36 countries and regions are competing across three conferences: Asia-Pacific (APAC), Americas (AMER), and Europe & Middle East (EMEC), each split into two groups of six.

APAC A: Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Philippines, South Korea. APAC B: Australia, India, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, Thailand. AMER A: Canada, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Mexico, Puerto Rico, United States. AMER B: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru. EMEC A: Belgium, France, Great Britain, Italy, Netherlands, Spain. EMEC B: Germany, Norway, Poland, Saudi Arabia, Sweden, Turkey.

Teams are selected based on OW2 player population data. World Cup Trials run over three weekends starting February, followed by team tryouts in March and final rosters in April. In June, teams compete within groups for one of 16 spots at the LAN finals in fall 2023. China receives a direct Group Stage invitation. All participants must be 18+ by October 1, 2023.

Competition committee applications are open now — each team needs a General Manager, Coach, and Social Lead. Apply via the online form (deadline January 30, 2023).
