Crunchyroll will stream the Kagurabachi anime starting April 2027. The platform confirmed on June 26 that the adaptation of Takeru Hokazono's manga will be available worldwide, including the Philippines, Indonesia, Singapore and Thailand.

Kagurabachi has been one of the more talked-about newer entries in Weekly Shonen Jump since its launch. The story follows Chihiro Rokuhira, a boy training to be a swordsmith whose life is torn apart when a group called the Hishaku attacks his father and steals six powerful Enchanted Blades. Left with the seventh blade, Enten, Chihiro sets out on a revenge-fueled journey. The manga built its following on intense sword-fight sequences and a dark, propulsive narrative.

Production Details

Tetsuya Takeuchi is directing the series with Keigo Sasaki on character design. Animation is handled by Cypic, the studio behind Umamusume: Cinderella Gray and The Summer Hikaru Died.

Voice cast announced so far: Taihi Kimura as Chihiro Rokuhira, Tomokazu Seki as his father Kunishige Rokuhira, and Katsuyuki Konishi as Togo Shiba. Alongside the Crunchyroll confirmation, a character visual and trailer for Togo Shiba were released on the same day.

World Tour Before the Premiere

Ahead of the April 2027 premiere, a Kagurabachi Anime World Tour Part 1 will bring early episode screenings to fans. The tour starts at Anime Expo in Los Angeles before continuing to Japan Expo (Paris), AnimagiC (Germany), Otakon (Washington D.C.) and Anime NYC. The full schedule is at anime.kagurabachi.jp.

Crunchyroll will stream the series worldwide excluding Japan, Mainland China, North Korea and South Korea. Additional casting and production details will be announced ahead of the premiere.
