The highest-grossing anime film of all time is finally coming to streaming. Crunchyroll announced that Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle I will begin streaming worldwide on July 28 at 8:00 a.m. PT (11:00 p.m. PHT), excluding Japan and Mainland China.

The film earned a Golden Globe nomination for Best Motion Picture - Animated, a Producers Guild of America nomination for Outstanding Producer of Animated Theatrical Motion Pictures, and a spot on the BAFTA Awards longlist for Best Animated Film. It also set the all-time record for highest-grossing anime film at the box office.

What the Film Is About

Infinity Castle I is the first of a three-part cinematic trilogy that wraps up the Demon Slayer franchise for good. It follows Tanjiro Kamado and the Demon Slayer Corps as they're pulled into the demons' stronghold for the series' climactic battle. All previous episodes of the main series and the Mugen Train film are already on Crunchyroll for anyone who needs to catch up first.

Language Options at Launch

Crunchyroll is going wide on language support from day one. The film arrives with Japanese audio and English subtitles, plus dubs in English, Latin American Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Castilian Spanish, Catalan, Russian, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Thai, and Polish. Subtitle options extend further to Arabic, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Melayu, and more.

Also Available to Buy Digitally

In select territories including North America, Infinity Castle I will also be available to buy on July 28 through the Apple TV app, Prime Video, Google Play, YouTube, and Fandango. Pre-orders are already open on select platforms ahead of the release date.

What Comes Next

For fans holding out for the streaming window, July 28 is the date. The more interesting question now is how quickly Infinity Castle II and III follow once their theatrical runs conclude. This first film sets the precedent for how fast the rest of the trilogy reaches Crunchyroll subscribers.
