Com2uS Holdings has signed a deal to publish Fading Echo across Asia, picking up the PC and console action-adventure title from French publisher New Tales SAS. The agreement, announced April 14, covers Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
The move fits a clear pattern. Com2uS Holdings built its name on mobile, but it has been steadily adding PC and console titles to broaden where its games live. Taking on regional publishing for an outside studio's premium release is part of that shift, and it puts the company's localization and live-service muscle behind a Western-developed game in markets it knows well.
Why regional publishing still matters
It is easy to assume that digital storefronts make local publishers unnecessary. In practice, Asian markets still reward partners who handle language, payment methods, community management and marketing tuned to each territory. By managing publishing and local services for Fading Echo, Com2uS takes those responsibilities off New Tales and gives the game a better shot at landing with players in each country.
The bottom line
Specifics on Fading Echo itself, including release timing and platforms, will come from the two companies closer to launch. For now the takeaway is strategic: Com2uS Holdings continues to widen beyond mobile, and a French action-adventure title now has a dedicated path into seven Asian markets. Worth keeping on the radar as more details surface.
