Season 05 Reloaded is where Black Ops 7 closes out its Zombies storyline, and Treyarch chose to spend its Multiplayer content budget on turning the most famous map in Call of Duty history into a working pinball table. That's the detail worth sitting with here, not the patch notes.

Nuketown becomes the machine, not the map

Turbo Tilt drops players inside a giant pinball machine themed around Nuketown's history, callouts to the bus, the house, and the blast radius included, complete with bumpers, flippers, and targets players can trigger mid-fight. It's a 6v6/2v2 small map, and it's the kind of self-aware bit that only works because the community has spent a decade treating Nuketown as a shared reference point. A second Freerun course, Descent, joins it with seven zones of escalating mobility challenges, and Cranked Moshpit returns as a mode built entirely around risk and a countdown clock.

Rex Infernus closes the book on Black Ops 7 Zombies

The bigger news for the mode's core audience is Rex Infernus, the final Round-Based Zombies map in the Black Ops 7 storyline. New enemies (Deathspinners and the elite Web Mother), a new Titan Trap, a new Perk-a-Cola called Widow's Wine, and two Ultra-Rarity legacy weapons pulled from the Mystery Box all arrive with it. Treyarch is treating this as an actual finale, livestreaming the community's Main Quest race on August 20 with developers watching alongside creators.

Warzone gets the leftovers, and that's fine

Call of Duty: Warzone's changes are lighter by comparison. Black Ops Royale returns as a Blackout-inspired mode with no loadouts or Gulag, Loaded Resurgence joins as a weekend LTM, and Special Delivery Drones drop new weapon camos if players can shoot them down before they land. None of it is transformative, but Warzone rarely needs to be the headline when Zombies is wrapping up a season-long arc.

The clock on free Endgame is also running out

One detail buried in the announcement matters more than it looks: Season 05 Reloaded is the last chance to play Endgame for free. Starting Season 06, the co-op mode locks behind Black Ops 7 ownership. Anyone who's been playing Endgame through the free Warzone menu has until August 20 before that door closes.

Season 05 Reloaded launches August 20 at 9 AM PT across all platforms.
