Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Warzone bring back The Haunting for Season 06 on September 18, and buried in the patch notes is a reward that asks a lot more of players than a seasonal event usually does. Anyone who has finished every Main Quest across all of Black Ops 7's round-based Zombies maps gets a "Super Easter Egg" and a fresh set of rewards. It is a completionist's payoff, not a casual one, and it says something about how much content Treyarch expects committed Zombies players to have already worked through this season.
The rest of the update is a standard seasonal wave, just a large one. Multiplayer gets two new maps, the Arctic computing facility Quantum and the horror-themed Bloodstead, plus three Zombies maps repurposed for the new competitive T.E.D.D. Trials mode. Zombies proper gets Tenshu Survival, set in the overrun ancestral castle of the Masaki family, alongside a Directed Mode for Rex Infernus and a "Starting Room" challenge that tests how far players get without leaving the house. Rogue Run adds Pack-a-Punch IV and Golden Armor as new pedestal rewards.
Warzone's Haven's Hollow becomes Haunted Hollow for the season, complete with a Giant Infected limited-time mode exclusive to the map: Survivors have to arm and detonate a DNA bomb before the Infected overrun them in 64-player matches. Endgame's Avalon zone shifts to nighttime rules under a new World Event called Forbidden Summoning, and Ranked Play: Resurgence runs a shortened competitive cycle with its own SR tuning changes.
The DOOM crossover that Black Ops 7 has leaned on since earlier this year continues with a dedicated DOOM Event Pass, layered on top of the standard Season 06 Battle Pass featuring the TR51 Para Assault Rifle and VMP SMG. BlackCell buyers get the "Revenant" Operator and a Mastercraft weapon blueprint with unlockable variants tied to in-game challenges, continuing the season pass structure Activision has used since Black Ops 6.
Season 06 goes live September 18 across Black Ops 7 and Warzone on all platforms. Full patch notes, including SR tuning specifics for Ranked Play: Resurgence, are on the official Call of Duty blog.
