AMD has announced the launch of two new RDNA 3 graphics cards, the Radeon RX 7700 XT and RX 7800 XT, at Gamescom 2023. These cards are available at the sub-$500 price point and are aimed at the mid-range and high-end markets. The Radeon RX 7700 XT is priced at $449 (approx. PHP 25,415.4), while the higher-end Radeon 7800 XT is priced at $499 (approx. PHP 28,215.4). Both cards will be available for purchase from September 6, 2023.

These new graphics cards are designed to compete directly with Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 16GB and RTX 4070. The Radeon RX 7700 XT has a transistor count of 28.1 billion, 12GB GDDR6 VRAM, a memory interface of 192-bit with an effective bandwidth of up to 1995 GB/s, and a total graphics power of 245W. The Radeon RX 7800 XT has similar specifications, with a transistor count of 28.1 billion, 16GB GDDR6 VRAM, a memory interface of 256-bit with an effective bandwidth of up to 2708 GB/s, and a total graphics power of 263W.

In terms of performance, both the Radeon RX 7800 XT and RX 7700 XT are great for gaming at maxed-out settings in 1440p resolution. The Radeon RX 7800 XT can achieve up to 23% faster performance than the RTX 4070 in some games, while the RX 7700 XT can achieve up to 31% faster performance than the RTX 4060 Ti in some games.

Overall, AMD’s new Radeon RX 7700 XT and RX 7800 XT graphics cards offer competitive performance and pricing in the mid-range market. They are positioned to undercut the pricing of Nvidia’s RTX 4060 Ti and RTX 4070 graphics cards, making them an attractive option for gamers looking for high-performance graphics at an affordable price.
