HONOR Philippines, a leading provider of smart devices, made a remarkable showing at the Marketing Excellence Awards 2023 held on October 13. The company clinched a total of five awards, including four Golds and one Silver, in a ceremony organized by Marketing-Interactive and judged by a panel of esteemed marketers from across the country.
Stephen Cheng, Vice President of HONOR Philippines, expressed his gratitude and surprise at the recognition. “Being nominated alongside some of the country’s most well-established brands is an achievement in itself. We never anticipated winning major awards, especially since this was our first time participating. These accolades are a tribute to our dedicated HONOR fans who motivate us daily to improve and excel,” he said.
The company’s accolades were in part due to the overwhelming success of their HONOR X9a 5G smartphone. HONOR Philippines secured a Silver award for Excellence in Viral Marketing and Gold awards for Excellence in Content Marketing and Excellence in Experiential Marketing. Additionally, the brand dominated the individual categories, winning Gold for Marketing Leader of the Year (Stephen Cheng) and Marketing Team of the Year.
In a tightly contested race, HONOR Philippines finished in a second-place tie with SM Supermalls for the much-sought-after Marketer of the Year Award. The tech brand was also a finalist in four other categories: Excellence in Brand Strategy, Excellence in Communications/Public Relations, Excellence in Launch Marketing, and Excellence in Social Media Marketing.
