Overwatch 2 reveals its first Thai hero, Lifeweaver, who is also the first openly pansexual hero in the game. He will be available on April 12, just in time for Songkran, the Thai New Year.

Lifeweaver’s real name is Niran PruksaManee, and he goes by the nickname Bua, which means lotus in Thai. He is voiced by Thai actor Phuwin Tangsakyuen, who is known for his roles in TV dramas and movies. Lifeweaver is a kind and witty support hero who uses his love and respect for nature and his advanced biolight technology to heal and protect his allies. He has a unique playstyle that introduces new mechanics to the game, such as charging flowers and creating vines.

Lifeweaver’s abilities are as follows:

• Healing Blossom: Lifeweaver’s primary fire. He charges a glowing flower and sends it to his allies. The longer he charges the flower, the more healing it provides.
• Thorn Volley: Lifeweaver’s secondary fire. He shoots a barrage of thorns at his enemies, dealing damage and slowing them down.
• Vine Lash: Lifeweaver’s first ability. He creates a vine that connects him to an ally or an enemy. If he connects to an ally, he heals them over time and grants them a movement speed boost. If he connects to an enemy, he damages them over time and pulls them closer to him.
• Lotus Shield: Lifeweaver’s second ability. He creates a lotus-shaped shield around himself or an ally, blocking incoming damage and reflecting it back to the attacker.

Lifeweaver is the first hero from Thailand to join Overwatch 2 , and he represents the country’s culture and traditions. His design is inspired by Thai art and architecture, such as the lotus flower motif and the temple roof shape. His biolight technology is also based on the concept of prana, or life force energy, that flows through all living things. His personality reflects the Thai values of kindness, generosity, and humor.
