NVIDIA has released DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution to all NVIDIA app users following its announcement at CES 2026. The update introduces a second-generation transformer model for DLSS Super Resolution and is available across all GeForce RTX GPUs in more than 400 games and applications.
The new DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution model replaces the original transformer-based approach with a second-generation version trained on a larger high-fidelity dataset. NVIDIA states the updated model uses five times the compute of the original transformer model. The company says the update improves image clarity and temporal stability, including when using DLSS Performance and Ultra Performance modes.
The update is available through the NVIDIA app via automatic update or manual download. Pricing and system requirements beyond existing GeForce RTX hardware were not disclosed.
DLSS 4 and game support
NVIDIA also confirmed that DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation is now supported in more than 250 games and applications. Additional titles are planned.
Upcoming RTX-enabled games announced at CES include 007 First Light, Phantom Blade Zero, PRAGMATA, Resident Evil Requiem, Active Matter, Screamer, and DEFECT.
Two additional games received DLSS updates this week:
- LET IT DIE: INFERNO
An update released today adds DLSS Super Resolution support. NVIDIA app users can also apply DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution through DLSS override settings. - StarRupture
The Early Access release includes support for DLSS Super Resolution and DLSS Frame Generation at launch. Through the NVIDIA app, users can enable DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution, DLAA, and DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation on GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs.
NVIDIA app update 11.0.6
NVIDIA also released version 11.0.6 of the NVIDIA app. New features include:
- NVIDIA Surround display settings migrated from the NVIDIA Control Panel, including bezel correction and hotkey options
- Improved Advanced Optimus reporting that shows full application names blocking feature activation
- A Debug Mode option that disables overclocking and voltage adjustments until system restart
- A Developer option related to profiling and debugging tools
Developer tools and SDK updates
Several developer-focused updates were released alongside DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution:
- DLSS Streamline Plugins
DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution is available through the DLSS Super Resolution Streamline Plugin. Dynamic Multi Frame Generation and up to 6x Multi Frame Generation support are scheduled for release this spring. - RTX Neural Texture Compression SDK
Version 0.9 of the SDK introduces improved performance over version 0.8. NVIDIA reports BC7 encoding is six times faster, with inference speed increases of 20 to 40 percent. The SDK supports texture compression with reduced memory usage while maintaining comparable image quality. - NVIDIA ACE
The NVIDIA Nemotron Nano 9B V2 model is now available as an In-Game Inferencing SDK plugin. Support has also expanded to include Qwen models at 4B and 0.6B sizes. - Nsight Graphics 2025.5
The latest release adds dynamic shader code editing in captured frames, RTX Hair visualization in the Ray Tracing Inspector, and updates to the GPU Trace Profiler workflow.
NVIDIA did not disclose timelines for future DLSS updates beyond those already announced.
