Facebook & Instagram outage shocked the world. Users move to Twitter #FacebookDown

Around 3 hours ago, Facebook users posted on Twitter that they are having problems logging in Facebook and Messenger including on a wide range of apps. Users started experiencing problems like unable to make a posts and send messages while later on they failed to login altogether.

An online outage map on Down Detector has shown that the majority of the outage are located in New England, Texas, and the northwest United States, U.K., India, and the Philippines.

Facebook said in a tweet that they are resolving the issue and they can confirm that they are not experiencing a DDoS attack. We still have to wait and see what their actual report is going to be regarding this issue and we’ll update this article along the way.

With the current Facebook and Instagram outage, people started using Twitter even if they don’t have a lot of followers. Most of them don’t know how to use the platform but they since they want to to be able to communicate with their friends and family, as well as to be able to meme, they started jumping on to Twitter.

This raises a lot of questions like how are businesses who are utilizing Facebook and Instagram for social media marketing are gonna get affected? How about those social media influencers who have tons of followers on both platforms? What will happen to these people when Facebook and Instagram disappear altogether?
