With the release of Monster Hunter World: Iceborne less than three months away, hunters are eager to experience all of the new content that will be available in the expansion. For those of you who can’t wait though, there’s some good news on the horizon.
The dates for the Playstation 4 beta just dropped, with the first beta being for Playstation Plus members starting on June 21 and ending on June 24 at 3am PDT. There will then be a second beta from June 28 to July 1 that will be available to all PS4 players.
The best part is, you don’t need to own a copy of the base game to join in either beta and you’ll be able to preload the game days before release.
As for what you’ll be doing in the demo, players will be able to take on 3 different quests. The first one will be an entry level quest where you’ll be tasked with taking down a Great Jagras. The next two will take place in the new region Hoarfrost Reach where you’ll be pit against either the brand new monster Barbaro or fan favourite Tigrex.
The beta will give players access to a slew of high level weapons and equipment including the new clutch claw which works similar to a grappling hook from Just Cause, reeling you straight into the monster. Each quest in this beta you complete will also give you rewards in the form of consumable items for when the full version comes out.
Monster Hunter World Iceborne releases on September 6 for PS4 and Xbox One and sometime in the near future for PC.
